February 14th is almost here, which means it’s time to start putting together everything you need to make it an extra special day for that extra special someone. One of our favorite parts about Valentine’s Day is the celebration itself, and what better way to revel in romance than with a few themed cocktails.
Since many of us will be spending this Valentine’s Day at home instead of at a restaurant, we figured our 2021 cocktails list should be filled with more options than ever before. So whether you’re a Whisky, Brandy, Vodka, Tequila, Gin, or whatever else fan, there should be something on our list that should match your palate.
26 Valentine’s Day Cocktails To Add A Shot Of Romance
Whisk(e)y
New World Sangria
Ingredients:
- 40ml Starward Two-Fold
- 20ml Shiraz
- 20ml lemon barley cordial
- Tonic Water
Build in a stemless wine glass with ice, top with tonic water & garnish with a slice of orange. It’s a simple and delicious twist on a Mediterranean summer staple boosted with a healthy dose of Starward Two-Fold Whiskey. Lemon Barely cordial can be picked up from most supermarkets.
Rob Roy
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Vermouth
- ¾ oz. The GlenDronach Original Aged 12 Years
- 3 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: Brandied Cherry
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until very cold and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with cherry.
Scofflaw in Love
Ingredients:
- 1.5 parts Wild Turkey Bourbon
- ½ oz. grenadine
- ¾ oz. dry vermouth
- ¾ fresh squeezed lemon juice
- orange bitters
Add all ingredients to shaker with ice. Shake, and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with orange peel.
Hey, Honey
Ingredients:
- 2 fl oz Four Roses Small Batch
- 1 ½ fl oz Honey Simple Syrup
- ½ fl oz Lemon Juice
- 5 drops Angostura Bitters
Mix all ingredients. Serve and enjoy.
Pearl of the Orient
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Hibiki Harmony infused with dried osmanthus flowers
- 1.5 oz La Gitana Manzanilla
- .5 oz Yuzuri Yuzu Liqueur
- .5 oz Goji berry syrup
Infuse whiskey with osmanthus flowers for three hours and strain before using. Combine all ingredients into a beaker glass. Add ice. Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with Tangyuan and Osmanthus Flower
The Busker Paloma
Ingredients:
- 1 oz The Busker
- 2 oz Pink Grapefruit Soda
- Fresh Mint Sprig
Fill a highball glass with ice, pour The Busker Irish Whiskey and top up with Pink Grapefruit Soda. Stir and garnish with Fresh Mint sprig.
Love Lane
Ingredients:
- 1½ parts Maker’s Mark Cask Strength bourbon
- 3/4 parts Campari Liqueur
- 3/4 parts sweet vermouth
- Orange peel for garnish
Add all ingredients to a cocktail mixing glass or other stirring vessel. Add ice. Stir for 30 seconds. Using a cocktail strainer, strain into a serving glass over ice. Garnish with an orange peel.
Vodka
Heartbreaker’s Rosé
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Crystal Head Vodka
- ¾ oz. Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz. Simple Syrup
- Muddled 6 Raspberries + 4-5 Mint Leaves
- Top with Sparkling Rose
Muddle ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake on ice. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass. Top with Rose sparkling wine, and garnish with mint.
Seagram’s Berry In Love Mimosa
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of Seagram’s Pineapple Vodka
- ½ ounce of strawberry syrup
- ½ ounce in lemon juice
- top with champagne
- Garnish with strawberry and citrus peel
Add everything to a shaker except the champagne. Shake then strain into champagne glass. Top with champagne and garnish with strawberry and citrus peel.
CÎROC Love Supreme
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz of CÎROC White Grape
- 1 oz Fresh Lime
- .5 oz Premium Grenadine
- .75 oz Curacao
- 3 Dashes of Rose Water
- Glassware: Coupe
- Garnish: Dehydrated Rose Petal
Shake, serve up and enjoy!
Broken Cosmopolitan
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Broken Shed Vodka
- 1oz Orange Liqueur
- .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- .25 oz Cranberry Juice
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and double strain into a martini glass. Garnish with an orange peel
The Union
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Double Cross Vodka
- .75 oz. Aperol
- .5 oz. Benedictine
- .75 oz. Lemon Juice
- 5 Raspberries
Combine all ingredients and stir with ice. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with lemons and raspberries, enjoy!
Mezcal
Amor in Manhattan

Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Vamonos Riendo Mezcal
- 0.75 oz Amaro Montenegro
- 0.25 oz Clement Créole Shrub
- 3 dashes Mole Bitters
- Orange Twist
- Clove
Combine ingredients into mixing glass, stir, serve up. Garnish with a trimmed orange twist and smoking clove
Rum
Sip and Smooch
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. Zaya Rum
- ½ oz. White Rum
- ¾ oz. Lime Juice
- 2 Blackberries
- 1-2 Raspberries
- ½ oz. Allspice Dram
- ¼ oz. Simple Syrup
- 1 Egg White
- Ice
In a cocktail shaker, add berries and muddle. Then add all other ingredients and dry shake vigorously with no ice. Add ice and shake well again. Double strain with both a Hawthorne and fine mesh strainer into a coup, then dust with cinnamon and garnish with a raspberry and blackberry on a cocktail pick and a torched lime round.
Panama Dreaming

Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Ron Abuelo 7 años
- 6 Fresh Raspberries
- ¾ oz. Honey syrup
- ¾ oz. Tamarind concentrate
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice
Muddle the raspberries inside the shaker. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake. Simple strain into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, mint spring and fresh raspberries
Rey Café
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce SelvaRey Chocolate Rum
- 1 ounce Espresso
- 1/2 ounce Coffee Liqueur
- 1/4 ounce Simple Syrup
- 1/4 ounce Creme de Menthe
- Glass
- Rocks
Combine in a shaking tin with ice. Shake & strain. Garnish with a mint leaf.
Kiss Me in the Caribbean
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz of Dos Maderas 5+3
- 3oz of coconut milk unsweetened
- .75 oz of strawberry syrup
- .75 oz of pineapple juice
- .5 oz of lime juice
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into double rocks or highball glass. Garnish with lime and fresh strawberry.
Tequila
Citrónge Cosmopolitan
Ingredients:
- 1 oz. PATRÓN Citrónge Orange
- 1.5 oz. Vodka
- .5 oz. Cranberry Juice
- .75 oz. Fresh lime juice
- .25 oz. Simple Syrup
- Orange Twist
Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and shake to chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass or cocktail coupe. Garnish with an orange twist.
Partida Paloma
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Partida Blanco
- 1 oz ruby red grapefruit juice
- .5 oz fresh lime juice
- .5 oz simple syrup
- 1.5 oz grapefruit soda
Shake and strain into a highball glass over ice, add soda, and stir. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
Cupid’s Heat
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Tres Agaves Organic 100% de Agave Reposado Tequila
- 1/2 oz Chili Liqueur
- 3 oz Tres Agaves Organic Strawberry Margarita Mix
- Lava salt
Rim a Collins glass with lava salt. Add tequila, chili liqueur and strawberry margarita mix in a shaker tin and shake with ice. Strain into rimmed Collins glass over fresh ice.
Gin
Botanical Daisy
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. NOLET’S Silver Gin
- 0.5 oz. Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose
- 1 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp. Maraschino Syrup
- Club Soda
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add NOLET’S Silver, Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose, lemon, and syrup. Shake and strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with soda water. Garnish with 2 Maraschino cherries.
Baby Doll Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Grace O’Malley Gin
- 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 oz Cocci Americano
- 1 oz Crème De Mure (or similar blackberry liqueur)
- 1 Egg White
Shake all the ingredients together, first without ice to aerate and expand the egg white and then with ice. Strain into a coupe style glass and garnish with a sprig of heather to serve.
Brandy
California Royale
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Argonaut Fat Thumb
- .5 oz fresh lemon juice
- .5 oz cranberry juice cocktail
- 2.5 oz dry sparkling wine
- 1 dash vanilla extract
- Fresh thyme for garnish⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin except the sparkling wine. Shake with ice and strain into a coupe glass. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a thyme sprig and a fresh cranberry.
Wine
Sandeman Lover’s Lane
Ingredients:
- 1 part Sandeman Founder’s Reserve
- ¼ part Elderflower liqueur
- ¼ part Pomegranate juice
- 1 part Champagne
Shake first three ingredients very well with ice. Strain in champagne. Garnish with rose petal, and dress to impress with an edible silver leaf.
Liqueur
Mozart Dark Chocolate Martini
Ingredients:
- 2.5oz Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur
- 1.5oz Vodka
- Ice
Combine Dark Chocolate MozartLiqueurand vodka in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until thoroughly chilled. Strain drink into prepared Martini glass and enjoy.
Disaronno Pink Velvet
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Disaronno Velvet
- .5 oz Disaronno Originale
- 1 oz Red Bitter
- Pinch of sea salt
Stir all ingredients over cubed ice.
