Each spring and fall, a new edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond rolls out to markets. This year, the Heaven Hill-owned brand decided autumn and old whiskey go perfectly together and decided to celebrate by releasing the oldest offering in the series so far, the 19-year-old Old Fitzgerald Fall 2022 Decanter Release Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
Comprised of barrels produced in September 2003, and bottled in October of 2022, the tenth national release is bottled in an ornate decanter with a black label, which is consistent across all fall releases. As was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip will disclose when the liquid was produced and bottled.
The Fall 2022 edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is the first 19-year-old of the nationally released series and features bourbon pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus.
Acquired in 1999 by Heaven Hill, the legendary Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree and intriguing story behind its namesake, John E. Fitzgerald, whose legacy is also heralded by the Larceny Bourbon brand. Inspired by an original 1950’s Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation.
The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond 2022 fall edition will be available on an allocated basis and are priced $240 per 750ml bottle. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.
In March, Old Fitzgerald unveiled the Spring 2022 release of its Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 17 year old bourbon.
