Tam O’Shanter

Tam O'Shanter

Known for its prime rib and impressive Scotch collection, Atwater Village favorite Tam O’Shanter has been delighting visitors for over 100 years. It can count Walt Disney as one of its longtime patrons and delivers pints full of charm via its Tudor-style building and plaid-clad waiters. There’s a large outdoor space perfect for warm nights, while the giant Scottish pub-style interior smells of meat and high-end whisky.

What’s the crowd like?
Unpretentious, yet classy, families and locals fill Tam O’Shanter. It’s great for celebrations or if you’re just looking for good prime rib and a glass of Scotch.

What am I drinking?
Whisky, probably without the ‘e’. Tam O’Shanter boasts over 600 different labels from around the world, and if you don’t like it straight, try some whisky in a classic cocktail.

Is there anything to eat?
There’s a full menu of Scottish and American classics available, but you came here for the prime rib (and possibly some fish & chips) so stick to your guns… Yorkshire pudding is a must.

When should I get here?
You come for dinner, you stay because you can’t get this kind of bottle selection anywhere else in Los Angeles (except maybe the Daily Pint). Plan to call a cab or Uber or Lyft.

Why am I here?
Prime rib and whisky.
