Highland whisky distillery Aberfeldy has introduced the latest addition to its Red Wine Cask Collection, Aberfeldy 15 Years Old Limited Edition. The latest edition to the series was finished in exquisite cabernet sauvignon wine casks sourced from Napa Valley.
Since 2019, Malt Master Stephanie Macleod has explored how flavors from red wine casks interact with Aberfeldy’s aged malt. The Aberfeldy 15 Years Old Limited Edition is first matured in a combination of refill casks and then finished for 10 months in cabernet sauvignon wine casks sourced from the famed California wine region. The whisky’s resulting flavor profile offers fragrant notes of raspberry jam, parma violets, cinnamon, and freshly ground coffee beans, all alongside the brand’s signature honeyed profile.
