Alba Accanto Brings The Amalfi Coast To Manhattan

Alba Accanto

Those looking to escape to the Amalfi Coast without ever leaving New York might want to try Alba Accanto, a new establishment on 10th Avenue in Chelsea that might be just what you’re looking for. The Italian holiday bar comes from Prince Street Hospitality, the same people behind the wildly popular Little Prince, Lola Taverna, and Cucina Alba.

“Will and I wanted to create a welcoming Italian-inspired experience in the spirited neighborhood of Chelsea that would provide a true glimpse of Positano,” says Cobi Levy of Prince Street Hospitality. “Our dedicated team has worked meticulously to curate the ultimate escape with a quality-driven menu of crudi, wines, and aperitivo-style cocktails to savor the elegant flavors of Italy while immersed in New York City’s infectious energy.”

Executive Chef Adam Leonti is behind the colorful menu which focuses on Crudi dishes (raw in Italian) and include Seared Yellowtail served with grapefruit, pink pepper, and ginger; Spicy Toro, spicy tuna served with bomba sauce; and Sweet Shrimp Tartare served with tomato confit and stracciatella. The fitti portion of the menu, meanwhile, features plates like Zucchini Flowers served with yuzu mousse; and Calamari with semolina. Guests can also enjoy Focaccia di Recco, a thin Italian flatbread served with herbs, prosciutto, or truffle.

The bar is helmed by Beverage Director Tristan Brunel, who creates Italian coast-inspired cocktails. The drinks menu features a variety of classic aperitivo, spritz, and negroni as well as 32 wines by the glass.

Designed by GRT Architects, visitors will be met with an interior filled with bright colors that breathes Amalfi Coast vibes. There are sculptures by Artemet and large-scale paintings by Alex Katz, along with illustrated menus by Isabella Cotier.

Alba Accanto is located at 141 10th Ave, New York, NY 10011. For more information or to make reservations, head over to the official website.
