Balcones Launches Cocktail Kit And Virtual Distillery Tour To Celebrate National Bourbon Heritage Month

Unfortunately, visiting distilleries during National Bourbon Heritage Month this year is out of the question for most of us. But Balcones Distillery is giving thirsty fans the opportunity to get a taste of its distillery via a special cocktail kit and a one-of-a-kind virtual distillery tour.

The Texas-based spirits brand has teamed up with Sourced Craft Cocktails on a duo of National Bourbon Heritage Month Cocktail Kits. The Balcones cocktail kits will come with 750mL Balcones, 8oz bottles of fresh ingredients batched together, jigger to help measure, Balcones Glencaire whisky glass, Balcones barrel stave, and Balcones grains. You can choose between the Soul Rush and Black Berry Old Fashioned. Best of all, the cocktail kits will be delivered straight to your door by a local out of work bartender, with the help of Sourced Craft Cocktails. Kits are on sale from September 17 through 26.

Those who purchase the kit will be invited to join an exclusive, one-of-a-kind virtual Balcones Distillery tour and happy hour on October 3. During the happy hour, a tasting with the Balcones grains and barrel stave will take place, to learn and appreciate how these components influence the development of Balcones Bourbon. Founder of Sourced Craft Cocktails, Tim Angelillo, will be joining as well to answer any questions about Sourced Craft Cocktails’ delivery program, company offerings, and provide any tips and tricks viewers might want to know about.

Balcones cocktail kit delivery is available in New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington D.C., Austin, and Dallas via Sourced Craft Cocktails. Kits cost $89.67 and can be ordered through Sourced Craft Cocktails’ official website. The virtual tour and tasting are scheduled to take place on October 3 at 5pm EST/2pm PST. So if you’re itching to visit a distillery in celebration of National Bourbon Heritage month, but are stuck at home, like the rest of us, this is an excellent opportunity to do so, while also learning a bit more about one of Texas’ favorite spirits.
