Barcelona’s Two Schmucks Unveils Savory Cocktail Menu

Barcelona bar Two Schmucks has unveiled its latest cocktail menu and the drinks lean savory. Titled Flavour of Schmucks, the new list is the first developed by the venue’s new creative directors, Juliette Larrouy and Pom Modeste.

The Flavour of Schmucks of Schmucks cocktail menu is inspired by the bar team’s culinary background and the dishes they have personal connections to. For example, the Melon, Cheese & Pepper cocktail (gin, melon cordial, vermouth, burrata foam) was inspired by the brasseries in the south of France. The Granny Punch (clarified milk, aquavit, manzanilla Sherry, white chocolate liqueur, vanilla, yogurt, cucumber, dill) is based on a cucumber salad Modeste’s grandmother used to make.

There is also the Tom Kha, a fish sauce-infused and clarified coconut milk punch, themed around the classic Thai dish; Tartines, inspired by buttered French baguettes with jam; and French Soup Manhattan, which delivers the flavor of beef bourguignon.

The menu places an emphasis on local ingredients, some of which have been sourced from neighboring business Rooftop Smokehouse.

Founded in 2017 in Barcelona’s El Raval neighborhood, Two Schmucks is consistently listed as one of the world’s top 50 bars. Founded by Moe Aljaff and AJ White, yhe team launched its first restaurant, Fat Schmuck, this summer. Last month, they opened Lucky Schmuck, a karaoke bar. All three venues sit on the same street.
