With locations in both Pasadena and Long Beach, The Blind Donkey has created a genre of its own that’s now known across the Southland. Started in 2014 by the Goat Group, the bar mixes its large whiskey collection with a variety of games (think arcade games, shuffleboard, etc). It’s the kind of place you come for the whiskey program, stay because of the games, and end up spending most of your time enjoying their collection of draft beers.
What’s the crowd like?
Think college guys who have somehow made it to their late twenties in good enough shape to afford some nice pours of whiskey and craft beers.
What am I drinking?
Whiskey and beer. That’s why you’re here, so stick to your guns.
Is there anything to eat?
The Pasadena location has a variety of elevated bar grub, so you’re free to stick around throughout the evening for happy hour, dinner, and post dinner drinks.
When should I get here?
The Blind Donkey is a great place to go after work or to catch a game.
Why am I here?
Whiskey, craft beers, video games, flat screens, you’re here to bro out and that’s okay, especially when you elevate it with a couple good glasses of whiskey.
