Bombay Bramble Unveils Ripe For Discovery Artist Series Bottles

Bombay Bramble Ripe for Discovery Artist Series

Bombay Bramble has launched its Ripe For Discovery Artist Series Bottles. Three emerging artists created limited-edition packaging for the newest Gin from the Bacardi-owned brand.

Bombay teamed with actor and art aficionado Russell Tovey to curate the line up of British artists for the Bombay Bramble Ripe for Discovery Artist Series. Included in the collection are artists Alfie Kungu, Charlotte McDonald and Rose Electra Harris, who each created a limited-edition artwork for the gin’s label.

The brand gives brief insights to each artist’s work:

Alfie Kungu: Experimenting with cultural motifs set against contrasting texture, Kungu’s use of colour is fearless; his work is vivid, playful and captivating.

Charlotte McDonald: Exploring the relationship between texture, colour and shape, Charlotte draws inspiration from nature in her abstract and sometimes observational work.

Rose Electra Harris: Realising the domestic spaces around her as dreamlike and surreal, Rose draws on experience as a printmaker to create intricate patterns that make the everyday unmissable.

The Bombay Bramble Ripe for Discovery Artist Series bottles are exclusively available from Selfridges, where they can be personalized with a name in gold-foiled lettering and come with a limited-edition tote bag featuring the same artwork.

“It’s a pleasure to be given the chance to showcase these three incredible artists at this exciting stage of their careers, and to see their creativity coming to life on these beautiful bottles, which will now live on people’s drinks cabinets as pieces of art,” said Tovey.

Bombay is backing this support of emerging artists with a donation of £10,000 to The Artists’ Benevolent Fund, as well as 6% of the RRP on the first 3,000 bottles sold.

Last month, Bombay teamed up with artist Hebru Brantley to call on artists across North America to design its 2021 Holiday Spray Can Edition. As a tribute to street art, and a nod to the early beginnings of Brantley’s career, the unconventional edition will feature a spray can outfitted to house the famed brand‘s iconic Gin bottle.
