Booker’s has unveiled its final 2022 released, Pinkie’s Batch. The fourth whiskey released by the brand this year honors Booker Noe’s dad, the original Frederick Booker Noe, who was known as “Pinkie” to his family and friends.
The original Frederick Booker Noe actually wasn’t involved in the whiskey business, he worked as the vice president of the local bank. According to the brand, he was a big fan of bourbon, but “being a part of the bourbon business wasn’t his thing.” And while he “wasn’t running the bank, Pinkie loved to golf and tried to play as often as possible.”
He was also known to be an outdoorsman with a passion for hunting that he passed down to Booker, says the press release. Adding, “Although some of Pinkie and Booker’s interests were different, the two would often bond over hunting quail and watching football, which brought them together at the end of the day.”
Booker’s Pinkie’s Batch was aged for 6 years, 10 months, and 10 days. It was bottled at 122.4 proof (61.2% ABV) and is a golden amber color. The whiskey offers balanced aroma of brown spice and vanilla notes. It has the rich vanilla taste Booker’s is often known for, with a lingering well-rounded finish.
The other Booker’s Batches from 2022 include: 2022/1 “Ronnie’s Batch”, 2022/2 “The Lumberyard Batch”, 2022/3 (Kentucky Tea Batch).
