To celebrate World Gin Day (June 13), Bulldog Gin has partnered up with DJ Mag to throw a virtual house party. It’s a completely virtual event that takes the place of in-person experiences that would have happened throughout the summer festival season.
The Saturday, June 13 event will support independent music charity Nordoff Robbins. It will feature live DJ sets streamed on DJ Mag’s website, Facebook page and YouTube channel. Viewers will have the opportunity to make donations to the charity throughout the event. Bulldog Gin have made a donation of £5,000 to Nordoff Robbins to get things started and viewers will be invited to make their own donations during the performances.
Nick Williamson, marketing director at Campari UK, which owns Bulldog, explained, “With the loss of festivals and the night-time industry shut this summer, it’s important to us that we use the digital sphere to continue to support our partners.”
Williamson added, “We are extremely excited about Bulldog Gin’s partnership with DJ Mag to celebrate World Gin Day. Having enjoyed a number of music-affiliated partnerships, we embrace the opportunity to continue to lend our support to artists. We are also thrilled to continue to contribute to the work of renowned music-therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, who has been working hard to lend their support and guidance to the industry at this particularly difficult time.”
The event will go from 6pm to 10pm BST (10am to 2pm PST), and will feature Roger Sanchez, Franky Wah, and Siggy Smalls. Fans of the Gin brand and DJ magazine are encouraged to join the party from home while enjoying a Bulldog beverage. So mix yourself up a Negroni, a Gin & Tonic, or whatever you’re into and get ready for a virtual house party (be it day or night) filled with dancing and drinking.
