Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences in Cabo San Lucas has opened the Museo del Tequila, an outdoor tequila museum and eatery showcasing the history and flavors of Mexico’s most iconic distilled beverage.
The Museo del Tequila offers visitors the opportunity to learn about tequila, mezcal, sotol, and bacanora. From the history behind each of the distilled spirits to the processes in which they are made, the museum will make sure guests leave more informed than ever about their favorite drinks. Additionally, tequila sommelier (tequilera) Pamela Miranda will be on hand to share her expertise on Mexico’s top spirits. In case you’re wondering, sotol is not an agave spirit, it’s actually from the asparagus family.
“At Hacienda Encantada, guests feel our passion for Mexico’s vibrant culture in every facet of their stay, including culinary adventures,” added Gabriel Ibarra Macias, director of sales and marketing at Mexico Grand Hotels. “Museo del Tequila continues that experience with an authentic, delicious taste of this staple of Mexican culture, right here at the resort.”
Each night at 5 pm, Museo del Tequila hosts a tasting, where guests can get a more intimate understanding of spirits from across Mexico. Along with the complimentary drinks, the hotel offer a menu of light bites.
The tequila museum is located adjacent to El Eden & Tequila Bar restaurant and is open Wednesday to Monday from 5 to 10 p.m. For more information or to make reservations, head over to Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences’ official website.
