London’s newest destination bar, Neighbourhood | Portobello, is set to open in the heart of Ladbroke Grove. Located a stone’s throw from Portobello and Golborne Road, the bar serves hand crafted cocktails and South American inspired sharing plates.
Evenings at Neighbourhood | Portobello will see the lights dimmed and music turned up as cocktails take centre stage with Watermelon Daiquiri’s, Balsazar Rose Spritz’s, and Strawberry & Jalapeno Margarita’s mixed by the team. Taking inspiration from the flavours of South America and designed to share, guests can expect to see small plates of tuna and guacamole or beef tartare and cured egg yolk tostadas, mushroom and garlic confit croquetas and gluten free, sticky sesame and coriander Korean style chicken wings finding their way to expectant tables well into the night.
Born out of the pandemic and designed to bring local friends, old and new, together again in a dynamic setting, Neighbourhood | Portobello is ideal for those looking to while away the hours either inside at the electric yellow raised bar or al fresco for sundowners in the intimate front garden and leafy terrace. The bar reflects the vibrancy outside of its front doors, a local bar where people can drop in for a drink with friends at the zinc topped communal tables or even as a backdrop for a first date.
“For us, like many, we came to know (and actually like!) our neighbours over the past 14 months due to lockdown, so we see Neighbourhood | Portobello as the place where you can reconnect with your local area and community,” says co-founder Oliver Stanley. “We want people to be able to reminisce or make new memories here, over one too many drinks and a plate of tacos, there’s that sense of familiarity, almost like a home away from home.”
Neighbourhood | Portobello opens on Tuesday 20th July.
