Eight Lands Introduces Speyside Gin and Vodka From Glenrinnes Distillery

|

Originally launched in summer 2019, Eight Lands Speyside Gin and Vodka are now available across the UK. The family-owned brand produces their luxury white spirits at a £3 million distillery situated on the family estate in the heart of the Speyside Whisky region.

Eight Lands Speyside Gin and Vodka are made using Scottish spring water and 100% organic ingredients, including botanicals that grow naturally on the estate. The brand uses spring water that flows past the distillery down from the lower slopes of the Ben Rinnes mountain. The Eight Lands name itself comes from the eight different countries that are visible from the top of the mountain on a clear day.

Eight Lands Organic Speyside Gin is described as a “fresh, bold, juniper and citrus-led London Dry gin which is complemented by locally foraged cowberries and wood sorrel from the family’s organic estate.” Sorrel provides a citrus element, which complements the fresh lime and fresh lemon peel alongside the tart berries. The gin uses 11 botanicals including orris root, cardamom, and coriander seeds.

On the nose, the gin offers lots of juniper, backed up by fresh pine and citrus. The palate is sweet juniper balanced with tart red berries and citrus. The finish features hints of black tea and warm spice.

Eight Lands Organic Speyside Vodka is described as a “smooth and well-rounded.” It is created using a two-stage fermentation process with both barley and wheat grains.

On the nose, the vodka delivers well-rounded marzipan, vanilla pods and coconut. The palate features flavors of quality grain, leading into butterscotch and coconut. The finish is long and smooth with a hint of spice on the palate.

Eight Lands Organic Speyside Gin is priced at £39 and Eight Lands Organic Speyside Vodka retails for £37.00. They are available directly online via the official website and through Harvey Nichols, Berry Bros. and Rudd, Amazon Prime, and a number of leading independent retailers and bars.
