Four Pillars has launched Modern Australian Gin in the United Kingdom. Last month, the Australian brand began selling its iconic Bloody Shiraz Gin in the UK for the first time.
Created in collaboration with Australian chef Neil Perry and airline Qantas, Four Pillars Modern Australian Gin is an “Asian-inspired Gin” that’s made with botanicals from across the globe. Traditional spices like juniper and coriander are mixed with more exotic flavors like pepperberry. Other botanicals include quandong, macadamia nut, red Szechuan, rosie glow apples, cardamom, cassia, star anise, lavender, angelica, orange, green Szechuan, and grapefruit.
“Our Modern Australian is our contemporary take on the classic – a bright and dry gin with a native twist,” says Stuart Gregor, co-founder of Four Pillars.
Upon conception, the Gin was an exclusive collaboration between Four Pillars Gin, Qantas and the Rockpool Group, and, therefore, only available at high-end restaurants and airport lounges. Now it’s available across Australia and the UK, after securing a listing with Marks & Spencer.
“We’re stoked to have not one but two of our gins now in some of the UK’s best supermarkets,” said Stuart McGregor, co-founder of Four Pillars. “Our Modern Australian is our contemporary take on the classic – a bright and dry gin with a native twist. It’s delicious, it’s different and will make for a great G&T, or a perfect dry Martini.”
David White, Marks & Spencer spirits buyer, added: “We’re thrilled to be exclusive stockists for this unique gin. Many of our customers are discerning gin drinkers, and we can’t wait to hear what they think of these exciting new additions to our award-winning spirits range.”
The Yarra Valley-based distiller is currently Australia’s fastest-growing spirits producer and only sits behind Bombay Sapphire and Tanqueray in terms of value within the competitive Australian gin market.
Four Pillars Modern Australian Gin is exclusively available at M&S locations and is on sale for the price of £33.50.
