GlenDronach And Point Reyes Farmstead Partner On Whisky And Cheese Package

The GlenDronach Distillery and Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. have formed a partnership to bring consumers a unique Scotch and cheese pairing experience for the holidays. Sold on ReserveBar, the selection is now available for purchase through December 2021.

The pairing features The GlenDronach Original Aged 12 Years, which epitomizes the distillery’s unyielding dedication to mastering sherry cask maturation. Aged in fine Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucía in Spain, this richly sherried Highland single malt Scotch whisky presents smooth vanilla, soft fruits, and a memorably long, nutty finish, for which it has become renowned.

“The GlenDronach is known for its rich and robust profile. We use cheese pairings to showcase the full spectrum of flavors in our Single Malt Scotch Whisky. We cannot think of a better partner than Point Reyes, which is known for its quality, artisanal cheeses,” said Greg King, Senior Brand Ambassador for The GlenDronach. “With ReserveBar’s reach, our Scotch and cheese selection will elevate holiday entertaining and gifting this season.”

From Point Reyes, the White Cheddar was chosen as the perfect pairing for The GlenDronach 12. Aged for one year, it is complex, creamy-yet-sharp, and has a delicious sweetness that flawlessly complements the rich, sherry sweetness of the whisky. The combined depth of flavor creates a balanced upfront taste experience with a burst of spice on the finish.

“Our White Cheddar partners just beautifully with The GlenDronach 12 –it’s an unforgettable pairing and an absolute stunner for any holiday gathering, even if you’re celebrating as a party of two,” said Lynn Giacomini Stray, Co-Owner of Point Reyes Farmstead.

The pairing selection includes The GlenDronach 12 and six ounces of White Cheddar. It is now available at ReserveBar for $105 plus the cost of shipping.

Earlier this year, we got the chance to sit down with GlenDronach Brand Ambassador Greg King to discuss GlenDronach’s Port Wood and learn about the distillery where it comes from.
