High West Distillery has teamed up with eco-minded outdoor gear and apparel company Coalatree in an effort to help protect America’s natural wonders. The two innovative Utah companies have created the High West X Coalatree Kachula Adventure Blanket and are donating proceeds from sales to the American Prairie Reserve.
Made from 100% recycled materials and easily convertible into a travel pillow or poncho, the High West X Coalatree Kachula Adventure Blanket provides a versatile option for any adventure into America’s great outdoors. Pair it with a bottle of High West’s American Prairie Bourbon, and you’re set for a summer of exploration that won’t be slowed due to social distancing. Making things even better, $30 from each blanket sale will be donated to support the conservation efforts of the American Prairie Reserve (the largest nature reserve in the continental United States).
Those looking to cozy up under a Western sky with a bottle of Bourbon by their side can purchase the blanket by heading to High West’s official web shop.
Furthermore, High West will be donating $5 for each consumer post, up to 100 posts, to the American Praie Reserve for every nstagram post with the blanket and bottle including the following tags: @DrinkHighWest, @Coalatree, and #WhiskeyWherever. At the end of the campaign, each post will be tied together into a virtual quilt.
The environmentally oriented collaboration comes just weeks after High West’s Rendezvous Rye was rated the top Rye Whiskey in the world at the 2020 International Wine & Spirits Competition. The spirit received an Outstanding Gold medal, the competition’s highest honor. “An expressively classic rye nose through a sweet outlook, imparting buttery ghee characteristics. Bold and peppery with complex dark chocolate, chilli and baking spice aromatics lifted by herbal high notes. Elegantly balanced with a lingeringly spicy, dry finish,” noted the judges about the winning Whiskey.
High West is Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870 and the world’s only ski-in gastro-distillery. Located in Old Town Park City, visitors can walk or ski into the facility. The distillery also makes Campfire Whiskey and Double Rye as well as a variety of limited edition products.
