Jack Daniel’s Debuts Single Barrel 2020 Special Release Barrel Proof Rye

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel 2020 Special Release Barrel Proof Rye

Jack Daniel’s has launched its Single Barrel 2020 Special Release Barrel Proof Rye. The new Whiskey follows in the footsteps of the Tennessee distillery’s Heritage Barrel expressions, which it has been releasing over the last few years.

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel 2020 Special Release Barrel Proof Rye is a Tennessee Rye that features the distillery’s newest grain bill since Prohibition. Made up of 70% rye, 12% malt and 18% corn, the barrels for it were aged in the highest areas of a barrel house, “resulting in what’s officially described as “a deep copper hue with robust aromas of deep smoke, raisin, rich caramel and toasted fruit; boasting tastes of molasses, sawn oak and bold rye spices with a peppery finish.”

“Our team created this special release to give our friends the chance to taste our rye whiskey at the proof mother nature created,” said Jack Daniel’s newly appointed Master Distiller Chris Fletchert. “This barrel proof offering is as close as you can get to being inside a barrelhouse and sampling for yourself.

“I’m excited to begin my tenure as Master Distiller alongside this special release that celebrates our award-winning rye whiskey, and I look forward to sharing it with the many friends of Jack who are sure to be satisfied.”

Limited to just 200 barrels, the 2020 Special Release Barrel Proof Rye is set to hit shelves later this month and will be priced at about $65 per 750ml bottle.

Earlier this month, Jack Daniel’s introduced Jamaican Allspice And 14E19 “Twin” Blend Whiskies as part of its Tennessee Tasters’ Selection series. The sixth and seventh Whiskies from the Tennessee distillery’s collection are limited to approximately 24,000 bottles for each.

Those interested in celebrating the Holidays with Jack will be happy to know that the distillery has unveiled its 2020 Holiday Countdown Calendar. The Tennessee Whisky brand’s annual advent-style calendar is filled with some delicious offerings from the distillery and its family of brands.
