Licor 43 Expands RTD Range With Apple Flavor

|

Zamora Company has added a new apple flavor to its Cocktail 43 Fresco ready-to-drink (RTD) line. Last June, the Spanish company unveiled Cocktail 43 Fresco with two flavors, lemon and berry, as its first range of canned cocktails.

Cocktail 43 Fresco Apple is made by combining Licor 43 Original with real fruit juices. Like the rest of the range, the new flavor has an ABV of 5.6%.

“Cocktail 43 Fresco was developed to meet growing demand for delicious low-alcohol options from quality, natural ingredients in a convenient format,” said Julian Fernandez, global marketing and innovation director at Zamora Company. “In 75 years of production, Licor 43 has been at the forefront of rising to consumer demand whether that’s with our (at the time) ground-breaking advertising, or with the launch of our totally vegan horchata ‘cream’ version, so we’re thrilled to be able to add a third family member to a brand which is going from strength to strength.”

Priced at RRP €2.49 ($3 USD), the Cocktail 43 Fresco range is currently available in the Netherlands and select markets.

In March, Zamora Company shared the news of another addition to it’s RTD Licor 43 range, a coffee-flavoured beverage to celebrate the liqueur brand’s 75th anniversary, called Carajillo 43. (A carajillo is a hot coffee drink to which alcohol is added.)

Made exclusively in Cartagena, Spain, Licor 43 is the world’s top selling Spanish liqueur. Diego Zamora founded the company in 1946. Licor 43 bases their recipe on Liqvor Mirabilis (marvellous liquid), a golden, aromatic drink that has been made in the area since at least 209 BC, and continued to be produced in the area’ after its capture by Rome despite being banned. As of 2011, it is the fastest growing premium liqueur in the world.

In May, the company added Licor 43 Horchata vegan cream liqueur to its lineup of products sold in the US, marking the first brand extension in America from the Spanish liqueur makers.
