Loch Lomond Spirit Of The Tour Range Launches Five Single Cask Whiskies

Loch Lomond Spirit Of The Tour Range

The Loch Lomond Spirit Of The Tour range is set to feature five single cask Scotch Whiskies. The Highland distillery created the expressions to celebrate the European Tour’s UK Swing 2020 golf tournaments.

Loch Lomond Whisky was already the official spirit of The Open golf championship, and agreed to a partnership with the European Tour earlier this year. Therefore, the new range has been dubbed “The Spirit of the Tour.”

The five Whiskies in the Loch Lomond Exclusive Casks range celebrate the venues that will host the 2020 edition of the European Tour’s UK Swing.

John Grieveson, chief marketing officer at Loch Lomond Whiskies, said: “We are very proud to be the ‘spirit of the tour’, supporting the European Tour with its new initiative.

“As one of the most internationally recognised golf events in the world, we’re looking forward to sharing our range of single malts, dedicated to each event venue in the tour, with golf and whisky fans alike.”

Each Whisky included in the range was finished in a different style of oak cask and were selected by Loch Lomond master blender Michael Henry.

The Betfred British Masters (57.4% ABV) was created to celebrate the Close House event and was aged in a first-fill Limousin oak cask.

The English Championship Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% ABV) celebrates the event at Hanbury Manor and was finished in a rum barrel.

The Hero Open Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% ABV) marks the event at the Forest of Arden and was finished in a Sauternes wine cask.

The UK Championship Exclusive Single Cask (57.7% ABV) was bottled to mark the event at The Belfry. It was aged in a Tawny Port cask.

The Wales Open & Celtic Classic Exclusive Single Cask (58.2% ABV) completes the range and celebrates the events taking place at the Celtic Manor and was matured in an oloroso Sherry cask.

While all the expressions are all limited editions, each is currently on sale for £90 ($115 USD) per bottle. Fans can also choose to purchase all five bottles together for £399 ($508 USD). Those looking to pre order can pre order the Loch Lomond Spirit Of The Tour range on the company’s official web store.
