Wine specialist 28°-50° has announced the opening of a late night jazz and blues dining spot, called 28°-50° by Night. The new bar will be located in London’s Marylebone neighborhood.
28°-50° by Night will offer live jazz and blues every night, with an evolving roster of in-house musicians and resident bands playing music throughout the week. The new Marylebone hotspot is said to be inspired by the spirit of New Orleans, Paris, and New York.
As for fare, the space will offer a modern European a la carte menu served until 1am and an impressive wine list, including their award-winning Collectors List of fine wines. Devised by Executive Chef Julien Baris, small plates include Truffle arancini, Artichoke Tempura, and Burrata. While mains will include a sharing seafood platter with tiger prawns and mussels, pan fried hake, buckwheat risotto, and the famed 28º–50º cheeseburger. A selection of desserts will also be available, including white chocolate cheesecake and blackberry tart.
The wine list includes 15 reds and 15 whites available by the glass, carafe, and bottle. A Collector’s List featuring a range of unique fine wines from private collectors’ cellars will also be available. The cocktail menu will feature classics such as a negroni, an espresso martini, and an old fashioned.
Adjacent to the bar and stage, The VIP Square offers 6-8 guests a private experience. In total, the new venue can accommodate a full take-over for larger private parties, catering for up to 80 seated and 120 guests standing.
