Maestro Dobel Tequila has announced the launch of Maestro Dobel Artpothecary, a creative platform and series of immersive experiences which celebrate contemporary Mexican art and culture that will debut at Frieze New York. For the art fair, the iconic agave spirits brand has commissioned globally renowned designers Bompas & Parr to bring to life “The Fruit Chemist.”
Maestro Dobel Artpothecary and Bompas & Parr’s “The Fruit Chemist” is a unique bar experience that will feature rare and unusual Mexican fruits paired to complement Maestro Dobel’s range of tequilas, and will spotlight the work of Orly Anan, a leading Colombian-Israeli Visual Artist based in Mexico City.
The Artpothecary celebrates the eternal pursuit for innovation by showcasing the visionaries and wealth of creativity in Mexico. Beyond activity at Frieze New York, Artpothecary will invite art world experts and artists alike to unleash their inner mastery – coming to life through a series of live events, experiences and partnerships across the United States.
Maestro Dobel has engaged Art world expert/Anónimo Colectivo Founder and Managing Director Alejandra Martínez as Creative Director, curating the annual vision for Artpothecary and partnering with leading Mexico-based artists to share their work. As part of Artpothecary, the brand also proudly celebrates Mexican-American Artist Eduardo Sarabia and his latest installation “The Passenger” at Desert X in Palm Springs, California.
“Maestro Dobel looks to its past to innovate for the future in its tequilas – and in the art world, mixing the generational knowledge of craftsmanship with contemporary creativity is key for any Mexican artist to envision, connect and communicate with their audience,” said Martinez. “I am honored to join as Creative Director of Maestro Dobel Artpothecary, and collaborate with a brand that is so willing to push boundaries and activate artistic collaborations in bold and innovative ways.”
Born from 11 generations of tequila making legacy, Maestro Dobel leans on over two centuries of mastery to innovate in its portfolio of award-winning tequilas. In the same way that Maestro Dobel cherishes and looks to its traditions to create its tequilas, the brand recognizes those who share the same level of commitment, expertise and mastery.
Frieze New York will take place May 5th through 9th at The Shed in Hudson Yards. For more information, head over to the official website.
