Midleton Very Rare has launched four single cask whiskeys in global travel retail (GTR). The four bottlings will be rolled out to various airports across Europe.

Included in the Midleton Very Rare GTR single cask collection are the 27-Year-Old First-Fill Bourbon; the 25-Year-Old Virgin American Oak; the 21-Year-Old Virgin American Oak; and the 24-Year-Old First-Fill Bourbon. Each cask was hand selected by the brand’s master distiller Kevin O’Gorman.

“We have chosen to launch the new Midleton Very Rare Single Casks with retail partners at important travel hubs across Europe, in order to delight luxury spirit collectors traveling through these key destinations,” Liya Zhang, vice-president marketing, Pernod Ricard GTR. “We’re excited to continue working with Midleton Distillery, who are renowned for innovation and quality bottlings, and hope to launch more exclusive products for whiskey fans across the globe in the coming years.”

Bottled at 49.6% ABV, the Midleton Very Rare 27-Year-Old First-Fill Bourbon will be available in Amsterdam Airport’s Exquisite Store. Coming in at 57.2% ABV, the 25-Year-Old can be found at the airports of Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Shannon in Ireland. The 21-Year-Old Midleton Very Rare Virgin American Oak was bottled at 55.5% ABV and is available at World Duty Free at London Heathrow. The 24-Year-Old Midleton Very Rare First-Fill Bourbon, bottled at 57.1% ABV, can be purchased at the Dublin Airport.

“We’re proud of the global success of the booming Irish whiskey category and are delighted to bring a rare and luxury offering to whiskey collectors and enthusiasts,” commented Antonio Duva, general manager for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Pacific at Pernod Ricard GTR. “We are thrilled to be working with our key partners to bring to market very special and exclusive releases, and the Midleton Very Rare Single Cask release is truly a one-of-a-kind launch.”

In February, Middleton unveiled its 2023 Very Rare release. Matured in lightly charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels, the latest Vintage delivers decadent flavors and a tantalizing aroma.
