Moët & Chandon have launched a limited edition bottle of Rosé Impérial Champagne, created in honor of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Supermarket group Waitrose will be the exclusive retail partner for the release.
Waitrose is also partnering with Buckingham Palace Gin to mark the Jubilee celebrations, as Queen Elizabeth II becomes the first British monarch to celebrate 70 years of service. The gin is made from hand-picked botanicals from the Palace’s garden.
“We’re delighted to be offering our customers these two wonderful products to enjoy with friends and family over the Jubilee weekend and the upcoming summer months,” commented Pierpaolo Petrassi, head of drinks at Waitrose. Adding, “The Buckingham Palace Gin is delicious when served with lots of ice, tonic water, a slice of lemon and a sprig of your favourite fresh herb, and who can say no to a perfectly chilled glass of Champagne on a summer’s day?! Both will make a great addition to any celebrations over the bank holiday.”
Priced at £46, the limited-edition bottle of Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial will be on sale at Waitrose just ahead of the upcoming Jubilee weekend, which begins on Friday, June 3.
Moët isn’t the only brand releasing a limited-edition wine to celebrate the Queen’s special day. The Queen released her own English sparkling wine. Britain’s oldest winemaker, Berry Bros & Rudd, launched a limited-edition Good Ordinary Claret. Taylor’s Port unveiled a Very Very Old Tawny Port in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II’s 70 year reign.
In the whisky world, the Scotch Malt Whisky Society saluted the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with the launch of a special bottling, ‘One Fancies a Sherry’. While The English Whisky Company launched The English Royal Platinum Jubilee single malt whisky.
A number of venues around London have also gotten onboard with special celebrations and menus. St James Bar at Sofitel London St James, located just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, has unveiled a special cocktail menu. The Arch Bar debuted a new cocktail menu inspired by royal artwork to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. The Savoy, meanwhile, has partnered with English sparkling wine brand Nyetimber.
