Old Fitzgerald Unveils 17 Year Old Bourbon As Spring 2022 Decanter Release

Old Fitzgerald Spring 2022 Bottled-in-Bond Decanter release

Old Fitzgerald has unveiled the Spring 2022 release of its Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a 17 year old bourbon.

The Old Fitzgerald Spring 2022 Bottled-in-Bond Decanter release is comprised of barrels produced in fall of 2004. It was pulled from across three floors of rickhouse V at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus and bottled in spring of 2022. Noted as the ninth national release in this series, it also marks the first 17 year old in this line up.

It comes bottled in an ornate decanter with a green label similar to previous spring expressions. This edition’s tax strip, however, discloses when the liquid was produced and bottled.

The Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond spring edition will be available in the 750ml size on an allocated basis. It meets the strict requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume. The edition is available at a suggested retail price of $185.

Last August, the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Fall 2021 Edition featured 11-year-old bourbon pulled from rickhouse EE. The Spring 2021 edition was an eight year old whiskey pulled from three different rickhouses, on different floors, and two different production dates.
