Opihr Gin Shares New Grapefruit Gin and Tonic RTD in UK

|

Opihr Gin has added to its ready-to-drink (RTD) gin and tonic range with a brand new grapefruit flavor.

Coming in a handy 275ml bottle, the new citrus and spiced RTD features the Southeast Asian pomelo grapefruit paired with an in-house-made quality tonic.

Joining two other favoured variants – orange and ginger – the 6.5% ABV Opihr G&T with grapefruit adds to Quintessential Brands / Opihr Gin RTD range.

Each of the bottles features an ornate design inspired by Opihr’s connection to the ancient spice route where its hand-picked botanicals are sourced.

Speaking on the new drink Robert Milton, global brand director for Opihr Gin said:

“With warmer weather arriving, more and more consumers will be staying local and socialising outdoors. The new Opihr G&T with Grapefruit will help meet this growing demand,”

“Drinkers can now taste the flavours of the ancient spice route by trying all three variants that were inspired by ingredients in key destinations from east to west along the route – pomelo grapefruit from Southeast Asia, Indian ginger and Spanish orange.”

With an RRP of £2.50 per bottle, Opihr G&T and Grapefruit is available in-store and online from Sainsbury’s.

Opihr Gin originally released its RTD collection in 2018. Last summer, Opihr released two Gin & Tonic cans in the United Kingdom. The Quintessential Brands-owned distiller released two flavors of the ready to drink beverages, which are priced at £2.00 ($2.50 USD).

At the 2020 Canned Cocktail Awards, Opihr Gin & Tonic With A Twist Of Orange was awarded a Double Gold and Best Gin-based Canned Cocktail.

Earlier this month, Beefeater launched three new ready-to-drink (RTD) gin and tonic cans, including Beefeater Pink Strawberry Gin and Tonic, Beefeater London Dry Gin and Tonic, and Beefeater Blood Orange and Tonic. The cans will become available in convenience stores across the United Kingdom this month, before rolling out across the wider off-trade channel in May.
