Perfetto Pink Grapefruit Gin

Perfetto pink grapefruit gin

Distilled in Finale Emilia, a small town near Modena in North East Italy, Perfetto has quickly garnished attention for their citrus-infused Gins. The brand currently produces two varieties, a Pink Grapefruit Gin and a Blood Orange Gin. Pink Gins are certainly all the rage these days–and honestly we just happen to love Grapefruit–so it isn’t much of a surprise that the Grapefruit variety caught our eye.

The Perfetto Pink Grapefruit Gin is bold and eye catching. It’s hue is of deep rose and aromas of zesty pink grapefruit move from the nose to the plate. Sharp and sweet notes are ideally balanced and it possesses a crisp fruity finish. It possesses a true Mediterannean feel and is made for hot days spent outdoors with the smell of citrus in the air.

When it comes to serving, Perfetto recommends keeping things simple and making a Gin & Tonic with their Pink Grapefruit Gin. The only twist, garnish with a slice of pink grapefruit. But if you’re looking for something a bit fancier, maybe give the Perfetto Mio a try:

Perfetto Mio

Ingredients:

  • – 35ml Perfetto pink grapefruit gin
  • – 25ml Aperol
  • – 25ml Fresh lemon juice
  • – 12.5ml Almond syrup

Add all ingredients to a shaker. Shake and fine strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with grapefruit twist.

Perfetto makes their gins in one of the oldest Italian distilleries in the Northeast region of Emilia Romagna. They are handcrafted with precision and patience using a regional recipe. The distillation is slow and steady to ensure the full flavours of the botanicals are released and the careful infusion of essential oils, peel and aromas of the local fruits provide a true taste of the Mediterranean.

Citrus Gins seem to be basically pouring out of Italy at the moment, and the country is quickly becoming known for their handcrafted Gins of all varieties. No longer just a land of Vermouth, Amaro, and Wine, Gin is quickly becoming the hottest spirit in the Mediterannean’s other major peninsular nation.
