Riding House Café Introduces Greatest Hits Menu To Celebrate 10th Birthday

|

Come September, Fitzrovia’s Riding House Café will begin serving its Greatest Hits Menu, a celebration of the restaurant’s 10th birthday created by executive chef Henry Omereye.

Opened on the junction of Riding House and Great Titchfield Streets to critical acclaim in Summer 2011, the restaurant is widely attributed to pioneering all day dining within London. The Greatest Hits menu is a celebration of Riding House Café’s most popular dishes and drinks over the past decade. Specials on the menu include those which were available on opening day alongside more recent favourites, with Omereye putting his own spin on each dish to take guests on a journey through the evolution of the restaurant, whilst ensuring original influences remain.

Dishes on the birthday menu include the Lobster Lasagne, originally introduced in 2012, and served with a grilled lobster claw perched on top of a molten cheese crust; the Eggs Hussard; and the Squid & Chorizo Salad, one of Riding House Café’s very first small plates. Henry’s take on a Beef Wellington will also join the menu, seeing prime native breed fillet encased in duck liver and golden puff pastry and served on a bed of porcini cream. Joining older favourites will be Henry’s Salt Cod Fritters, taken from the Soul Ride menu which the restaurant served over lockdown and accompanied by Henry’s homemade Bajan pepper sauce. Dessert will be Riding House’s stalwart; the Hot Cinnamon Doughnuts – served with a pot of molten chocolate for dipping.

Riding House Café London Gin Gin Cocktail

As equally known for their drink offering, three limited-edition cocktails will also be brought back by Bar Manager Antonio Del Monte as part of the Greatest Hits Menu. Originally introduced for London Fashion Week in 2014 was the Borat-inspired Mankini Martini which combines vodka and thyme-infused Lillet Blanc and elderflower, whereas the much-loved Gin Gin Situation which sees two servings of Crushed watermelon and mint each topped off with a contrasting premium gin will also return. Additional drinks on the menu include the Cacao Nib Latte, introduced during Soul Ride, and the Sunshine Mary, a healthier spin on the hair of the dog favourite, seeing Citrus-infused vodka blended with Golden heritage beetroot, yellow cherry tomatoes, carrot, celery and horseradish.

For those unable to attend in person, there will also be the opportunity to purchase a Riding House at Home feasting box featuring a selection of the Greatest Hits, to feed two people. Delivered across the United Kingdom, it is the perfect gift for friends and family, or to have all to yourself at home and will be available in due course.

The Riding House Café Greatest Hits Menu will be available from the 1st of September 2021, with dishes able to be ordered alongside the A La Carte offering.

Riding House Café is located at 43-51 Great Titchfield Street, Fitzrovia, London W1W 7PQ. It is open Monday – Saturday from 7:30am to 11pm, and Sunday from 9am to 8pm.
