Silent Pool Releases Rare Citrus Gin

Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin

Silent Pool has launched Rare Citrus Gin. The Surrey-based spirits brand crafted the new release from “some of the World’s rarest and most intriguing citrus.”

Silent Pool Rare Citrus Gin features fruits such as Hirado Buntan, Natsu Dai Dai, Buddha’s Hand and Green Seville Orange, which are sourced from famed citrus collectors on the Alentejo coast in Portugal, who grow more than 300 types of citrus.

The resulting spirits “balances bright and zesty with subtly sweet and blends enticingly rich with delicately spiced for a refreshingly distinctive and beautifully aromatic Gin,” according to the distillery. There are no artificial flavorings.

The new offering mirrors the same style as Silent Pool’s core Gin, but comes in a burnt orange shade, and its bottle wrap details the different botanicals and citrus fruits used.

“At the beginning of 2020, we predicted that citrus gins would be a trend within the premium drinks category and we’re delighted to introduce our Rare Citrus Gin to the market and to the Silent Pool family,” noted Ian McCulloch, co-founder of Silent Pool Gin. “This is not a flavoured gin, but rather a masterfully blended spirit that is both aromatic and unique in taste.”

The Gin is on sale via the distillery’s official website, priced at £37 ($47 USD) per 70cl bottle. Currently, the Gin is only available through the website and only can be delivered within the United Kingdom. However,  more stockists are set to be announced in the near future.

Back in May, Silent Pool Distillers launched a new CBD Gin dubbed, “Colorado High.” The name comes from the “epic altitude of the Colorado Rockies where [they] source [their] CBD.” The goal is to create “the highest quality CBD gin on the market.” Silent Pool Colorado High CBD Gin is priced at £50 ($62 USD) for a 50cl bottle.
