Still Austin Launches Bottled In Bond Red Corn Bourbon

Still Austin Red Corn Bourbon

Still Austin has unveiled Red Corn Bourbon. The new bottled in bond whiskey features a unique mashbill containing, as you could have guessed, red corn.

Still Austin Red Corn Bourbon is made from a mashbill of 36 percent Jimmy Red corn, 34 percent white corn, 25 percent rye, and five percent malted barley. On the nose, it’s rich and decadent with aromas of cherries, cocoa, espresso, nougat, and cream. The palate features a combination of chocolate, cherry, and cola notes, alongside blackberry, pepper, and espresso. The finish finds more cherry alongside vanilla cream.

According to the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, all bottles labled “bottled in bond” must be aged for a minimum of four years in federally bonded warehouses, bottled at 100 proof, and be the product of one distiller and one distilling season. Founded in 2015 in the capital of Texas, Still Austin is widely considered one of the state’s most exciting distilleries.

Still Austin Red Corn Bourbon is available to purchase at the distillery and online for $80. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.

Two years ago, Still Austin Whiskey Co launched “The Musician,” a straight bourbon that ended up becoming one of fastest-selling spirits in the history of Texas and took home a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Now the brand is back with its second offering, a 100% straight rye whiskey dubbed “The Artist.”
