Taisteal Launches Two New Whiskies To Fill Out Explorer’s Scotch Series

|

Taisteal has added two new whiskies to their Explorer’s Scotch Series: Explorer’s Grain and Explorer’s Blend. Back in 2018, the Milestone Beverages-owned brand launched their first product, Explorer’s Malt, a single malt Scotch Whisky that was praised for its affordability, versatility, and exceptional quality.

Produced in Loch Lomond, Taisteal is one of only four distilleries in Scotland that has an on-site cooperage. The distillery is known for its unique pot skills, which had distillation trays in the next, allowing more contact with the cooling alcohol vapor. The brand gets its name from the Gaelic word for “journey.”

Angus Dundee produced the Explorer’s Grain and Explorer’s Blend whiskies. The Explorer’s Grain, meanwhile, delivers the flavor of toffee with floral notes and has a “delicate, silky, and fruit palate.” The Explorer’s Blend has aromas of chocolate and vanilla fudge that marry with baking spices to deliver a “rich, balanced and nutty palate.”

Each whisky in the Explorer’s Scotch Series is bottled at 40% ABV and is available to purchase across Asia and Europe. Milestone manages its own distribution in Asia with support from Charter Brands in Europe.

Joe Milner founded Milestone Beverages in order to bridge the gap between quality and value. In turn, he intends to alter Whisky perceptions by “letting the sipper design their own whisky experience, have their own rules and create their own rituals – be it indoors or out in the sun, with mixers or on the rocks.”

If you’re looking to mix up a cocktail with the new Explorer’s Grain Whisky, Taisteal recommends their own Coffee Negroni
