Teeling Launches 24 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey Finished In Rum Cask

The Teeling Whiskey Distillery has unveiled one of its oldest single malts to be solely matured in a rum cask. This rare single cask is available to be purchased via the brand’s online gift shop or hand filled directly from the cask at the Dublin distillery.

Bottled at 50.3% ABV, the Teeling Distillery Exclusive Rum Cask 1998 comes from cask number #100058. The Irish whiskey has spent 24 years in a single cask of rum.

On the nose, the whiskey offers earthy notes, with dried fruits, toffee. and burnt sugar. The palate delivers an explosion of fruit flavors, which is followed by molasses sweetness. The finish is dry with a distinct wood influence.

The 24-year-old Teeling Distillery Exclusive Rum Cask 1998 is priced at €325. For more information or to purchase a bottle, head over to the brand’s official website.

In November, Teeling unveiled the previous release in its illustrious Single Malt series, a limited edition 30-Year-Old.

In September, the distillery unveiled the fourth bottling of “The Renaissance,” a limited edition series of unique Irish Single Malts. Launched in 2019, the series celebrates the true global Renaissance of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey as it continues to be the fastest growing premium spirit in the world.
