The Craft Competition International Awards have announced the Gold Medal winners for the 2020 edition of their annual challenge that looks at the best craft spirits available across the globe. This year, the sixth edition of the competition awarded 21 spirits with their most prestigious honor.
Cierto Tequila was the runaway winner when it came to distilleries in 2020, as the brand picked up eight gold medals. Three other distilleries also picked up multiple awards as Dallas’ Belfour Spirits, Denver Distillery, and Durham’s Creek Water Whiskey each picked up two Golds.

In other awards news, the International Spirit Challenge has named the Best American Whiskey and 2020 Spirit of the Year. In its 25th year, the International Spirits Challenge is globally recognized as one of the world’s longest running and most trusted spirits competitions. As it turns out, 2020 was one of the most competitive years the ISC has ever seen. The competition tasted thousands of spirits and handed out hundred of awards, including 26 double golds, 293 gold medals, 46 silvers and one bronze in the Scotch Whisky section alone.
