The Dalmore Introduces Annual 30-Year-Old Whisky Series

|

The Dalmore Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has introduced a new 30-Year-Old expression, the first in a new annual series of 30-Year limited-edition bottlings from the distillery. With the releases, the Whyte & Mackay-owned brand hopes to bring Dalmore fans a “different masterpiece” each year.

“This new annual release, while instant collectable, is for whisky enthusiasts looking for the best Scotch whisky to savor each year and we are proud that this is a celebration of our long-standing relationship with Graham’s Port,” says Whisky Maker Gregg Glass. “The Dalmore 30 Years 2021 Edition is the result of our shared patience and dedication to craftsmanship over 180 years, creating an exquisite Single Malt that is divinely decadent with every drop.”

The Dalmore 30 Year Old 2021 Edition was first aged in ex-Bourbon American white oak barrels before transferring it to Graham’s Port’s extremely rare 30-year-old Tawny Port Pipes. The “Old Tawny Port Pipes work in harmony with The Dalmore’s signature house style to create a truly masterful whisky that offers amazing depth and a long, captivating finish,” said the brand.

“It’s wonderful to see this series come to life with the launch of The Dalmore 30 Year Old,” added Charles Symington, Chief Winemaker at Graham’s. “Our rare 30 Year Old Tawny Port is an exceptional liquid of which we are extremely proud and its complex palate works wonderfully with The Dalmore whisky to create something truly special.”

On the nose, The Dalmore 30 Year Old offers aromas of candied orange, molasses caramel, sour cherries, and freshly baked brioche. The palate features black forest fruit, pear tarte tatin, and Victorian plums. The finish delivers Madagascar vanilla bean, Napoleon cake, and flaked almonds.

Bottled at 42.8% ABV, just 200 bottles of the whisky will be made available nationwide. Each bottle is priced at $5,500 and can be found at Wally’s Wine & Spirits, Total Wine & More, and Wine.com.

Earlier this month, The Dalmore unveiled the Decades No. 6 Collection. The series features six single malts, with each bottle representing a decade of the brand’s history.
