The Irishman Debuts The Harvest – Brown Berry Beer Cask Finish Whiskey

The Irishman The Harvest Brown Berry Beer Cask Finish

The Irishman has unveiled The Harvest Brown Berry Beer Cask Finish. The new offering is part of the fourth collaboration between Dick Mack’s Brewhouse of Dingle and Walsh Whiskey.

The Irishman – The Harvest Brown Berry Beer Cask Finish is a triple distilled, single malt, Single Pot Still whiskey that is first aged in rum casks that originated from Saint Lucia and then finished in a Brown Berry Beer Cask from Dick Mack’s Brewhouse in Dingle for 7 months.

On the nose, the Irish whiskey delivers aromas of spiced pine and Autumn berries. The palate finds notes of sugar rum, fig, banana, and Pot Still spice. The finish offers toffee and caramel sweetness.

“Working with Walsh Whiskey we always conjure up the most exotic of combinations for the lucky few to explore and this expression is no different,” says Finn MacDonnell of Dick Mack’s Brewhouse and Pub. “Where else would licks of Caribbean rum kiss spicy pot-still Irish whiskey, wrapped in beer traces offering toffee, caramel, and chocolate – and all in the one bottle?”

Only 264 bottles have been produced with the majority pre-sold to the whiskey club, Friends of Walsh Whiskey. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.

In April, Walsh Whiskey released Writers’ Tears Cask Strength 2022, the 12th edition of the Irish whiskey.

Earlier this year, we caught up with Walsh Whiskey Co-Founder & Managing Director Bernard Walsh.
