The Sexton Teams Up With Michael Legge On Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal Podcast

The Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal Podcast

The Sexton Single Malt Irish Whiskey has teamed up with Irish comedian Michael Legge to launch a new podcast series, Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal. The new audio series is expected to be a lot darker than the usual children’s tales.

The Sexton’s Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal podcast looks to give witty, dark, modern twists to five classic children’s fairy tales, including Goldilocks & The Three Bears, Three Little Pigs and Jack & The Beanstalk. To find out how Goldilocks fairs during her brush with the three bears, or if the wolf finally get his paws on the three hipster little pigs, head over to The Sexton Irish Whiskey official Soundcloud page.

Comedian Michael Legge, who hails from Co. Down and is the brains behind The Sexton’s Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal podcast, said, “If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that things need to change and for the better! So, with this in mind, I’ll be busting the myth that stealing from bears is wrong – and that letting neighbourly wolves into your home is undoubtedly a smart move. So sit down, pour yourself a whiskey and learn how these fairy tale characters get their comeuppance!”

Listeners can expect to find other stories on The Sexton Bedtime Stories for the Nocturnal podcast to include twisted versions of The Gingerbread Man and Robin Hood.

The Sexton Irish Whiskey debuted in the United States back in 2018. Created by Alex Thomas, one of a few female master blenders in the industry, the Whiskey is made from 100% Irish malted barley and is triple distilled for smoothness in copper pot stills. The spirit is then aged for perfection in former Oloroso sherry casks, sourced from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
The Sexton can be purchased via The Whisky Exchange or Total Wine & More for between $25 and $35 per 750ml bottle.
