Volley, a new range of Tequila-based seltzers, has arrived. Created by the founders of American Cocktail Company, Volley is available in four flavours: Zesty Lime, Spicy Ginger, Sharp Grapefruit and Tropical Mango.
Volley is made with 100% Blue Weber agave Tequila, sparkling water and organic fruit juice. The brand states it has created the first “clean” Tequila-based seltzer available and has “completely eliminated commonly-used fake sugars, natural flavourings, essences and corn syrup”.
Christopher Wirth and Camila Soriano, the husband-and-wife duo behind bottled cocktail firm American Cocktail Company, created the new seltzers, which are best served cold and drank straight from the can. Each 355ml can contains between 100 and 110 calories. Their goal was to create canned cocktails without any of the questionable ingredients that often come with RTD beverage options.
Volley is currently available in four-can variety pack or single flavor four-pack for $11.99 in store or $13.99 online, or individually at $3.00 per 355ml can. The RTD cans can be purchased online from anywhere in the United States by visiting the company’s official website. It is also available in markets throughout New York, New Jersey, and Florida.
There is no shortage of RTD canned cocktails that have hit shelves offer the last six weeks. It seems that the coronavirus crisis has only encouraged people to look more directly at single serving, take-it-wherever-you-go beverage options.
Just last week, Tia Maria joined the movement with their Iced Coffee Frappe. Earlier in the week, another Tequila canned cocktail hit the market, Onda. June saw the release of Scotch & soda in a can via Haig Club. Bacardi also joined the party via their Real Rum Cocktails, and so did Absolut with two different lines, Vodka Sodas and Cocktails.
