This November, the best Rums in the world will be in St Barths for the third annual Caribbean Rum Awards, and you could win a trip to take part in the action. The Caribbean Journal, WIMCO Villas, and Tradewind Aviation have come together to give travelers a chance at winning a “St Barth Foodie Dream Giveaway.”
Described as a week-long gala of outdoor parties, master classes, and a collection of the greatest rums from across the region, the Caribbean Rum Awards are centered around the world’s leading Rum bar, the Rhum Room in Gustavia. The titular rum competition will be stewarded by a panel of expert Rum judges conducting a blind tasting of Rums from across the Americas.
The five-day festival will also include a bartending competition, a Ti’ Punch happy hour, a Rum Expo to sample Rums from around the region and a cigar, rum and culinary pairing dinner at the renowned Quarter Kitchen + Cocktail Lab.
To make things even better, the St Barth Gourmet Festival will occur from November 11 through November 15. The 7th annual edition of the event will feature some of the top Michelin-starred chefs from France, all chosen by this year’s patron chef, Pierre Gagnaire. The “best starred chef in the world” according to a variety of his peers, he has invited a “Dream Team” of chefs, composed of six ambassadors who represent the best in culinary savoir-faire, and who will share their talent each night of the festival in one of the most prestigious restaurants on the island.
The St Barth Foodie Dream Giveaway gives those who enter a chance to win round-trip tickets for two on private airline Tradewind Aviation; a seven-night stay for two in St Barth’s Villa King Gustav; and a tasting dinner for two at one of the participating Gourmet Week restaurants, as well as two VIP tickets to the Caribbean Rum Awards.
