Nightjar Carnaby Unveils Absinthe Afternoon Tea

Nightjar Carnaby Absinthe Afternoon Tea

Nightjar Carnaby has launched an absinthe afternoon tea in partnership with Hendrick’s. A unique experience for London, the speakeasy is opening its doors every Sunday for the first time ever, for the wormwood-laced experience.

Launching on 10th September and running until 19th November, Nightjar Carnaby welcomes guests to the absinthe afternoon tea experience every Sunday at 4pm, which will see the sitting followed by a 6pm – 10pm evening service including live entertainment.

Attendees can expect a signature teapot-served cocktail made with Hendrick’s floral, limited-release Flora Adora gin. Accompanying the tipple will be classic sandwiches served on tiered plates alongside a selection of macarons, pastries, scones, jam, and cream. A neat serve of Hendrick’s Absinthe will then follow.

After 6pm, guests will then be invited to stay and enjoy Nightjar Carnaby’s signature cocktail offering and tables will be available for booking. Live entertainment will be expected from 8pm until 10pm, including the bar’s popular jazz and blues bands alongside live burlesque.

“We’re excited to be opening our doors on Sundays for the first time,” said Edmund Weil and Roisin Stimpson, co-founders of Speakeasy Entertainment. “We‘ve worked hard with our incredible bar team and Hendrick’s to create an experience which elevates our cocktail offering and showcases the versatility of our bar programme with a unique food pairing.”

The Absinthe Afternoon Tea will be available from Sunday 10th September for £45 per person with a choice of a champagne upgrade for £10. For more information or to make a reservation, head over to the bar’s official website.
