Coinciding with Madrid Fusión, Giacomo Giannotti’s Bar Moves From Barcelona to Debut at Oroya at The Madrid Edition
From Sunday the 28th to Wednesday the 31st of January 2024, Barcelona-based cocktail bar Paradiso will temporarily close its doors to set up a pop-up bar at Oroya, the Peruvian restaurant located on the fourth floor of The Madrid Edition, the city’s first luxury lifestyle urban resort, with two restaurants, Jerónimo and Oroya, each helmed by world-class, award-winning chefs.
In 2015, Giacomo Giannotti, partnered with Grupo Confiteria to open Paradiso in the heart of Barcelona. Within just seven years their dedication to vision earned them the #1 spot on The World’s 50 Best Bars list and they held the #4 spot in 2023. Now, for the first time in its history, guests at The Madrid Edition will have the opportunity to enjoy four consecutive days of Paradiso’s art and creativity at the first luxury urban resort in Madrid.
With a team of six people led by Giacomo Giannotti, Paradiso will take over Oroya to present its menu “The Evolution” inspired by the evolution of humanity, featuring cocktails such as:
- Voyage, a memory of the first journeys of Voyage I and II
- Fleming, a journey back in time to the discovery of penicillin
- Tesla, paying homage to Tesla coils
- Immersion, a liquid journey through the invention of technology
- Legacy, referring to the evolution of writing
- Copper, transporting us to the age of metal
- Evolution Negroni, a tribute to the evolution of the wheel
- On Fire, inspired by the mastery of fire, and classics like the Great Gatsby, with whiskey, white truffle honey, and lavender essence
- Kryptonite, with gin, shiso, lemongrass, and Sichuan pepper; and finally
- The Cloud, with mezcal, hibiscus, and amaro
In addition, the pop-up will also offer two of their non-alcoholic cocktails (Roots and Bellino) and two new creations, the Osmanic Punch and Salty Lips.
Elsewhere in The Madrid Edition, There are 200 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, with two of the largest Penthouses in the capital, alongside a wellness and spa facility, and a series of meeting and event spaces drenched in natural light.
