The Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate Batch 4 continues to grow the Highland distillery’s award-winning grain-to-glass collection
Glenmorangie is continuing to grow its Cadboll Estate series with the launch of Batch 4. The latest addition to the grain-to-glass collection celebrates single estate whisky and brings terroir to the forefront of the single malt process.
Crafted from barley grown in the eight fields of the Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate, Batch 4 matured for 15 years in American white oak casks that were air-dried and seasoned with Bourbon.
On the nose, the Scotch offers aromas of honey, almond, marzipan, and pear alongside notes of vanilla cream and mint. The smooth and creamy palate delivers flavors of lemon, mandarin orange, eucalyptus, vanilla and honeycomb as well as more pear and a hint of melon. The finish is full and rich, rounding off with a touch of menthol.
“Grown in just eight fields near the Glenmorangie Distillery, Cadboll barley brings our spirit even more creaminess,” says Dr Bill Lumsde, Director of Distilling, Whisky Creation, and Whisky Stocks at Glenmorangie. “To accentuate its incredible softness, we aged the fourth batch release of Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate in our renowned designer casks. Bespoke from field to glass, this 15-year-old single-estate whisky is alive with rich, silky flavours. Honeyed aromas of apricots and pears, and tastes of butter candy, orange and melon gives whisky lovers a delicious taste of our Highland homeland, wherever in the world they happen to be.”
Bottled at 43% ABV, Cadboll Estate Batch 4 is priced at £76 ($96 USD) and can be purchased at select retailers and the distillery visitor center in Tain, Scotland. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.
