Diageo’s Bulleit Frontier Whiskey has launched a Rye 10-Year-Old to create a new collection of decade old whiskeys

Bulleit has added a 10-year-old rye to its core collection. The new permanent expression joins its equally-aged Bourbon counterpart to form the Bulleit 10-Year Aged Whiskeys range.

Made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, Bulleit Rye 10-Year-Old spends a decade aging in new charred American white oak barrels. On the nose, the rye delivers aromas of rich caramel and toffee, alongside hints of buttery rye. The palate finds pear-like fruitiness, dry oak, full-bodied vanilla, and a lingering spiced rye finish.

“Our Bulleit 10-Year Aged Whiskeys showcase the bold, spicy rye-forward flavors that define our brand,” says Jenika Newsum, Senior Brand Manager at Bulleit Frontier Whiskey said. “Each expression is a testament to the meticulous craft of aging and our relentless drive to push the boundaries of American whiskey. We’re excited to introduce these whiskeys and look forward to unveiling even more innovations that reflect our commitment to whiskey craftsmanship.”

The 10-year-old rye has already begun picking up accolades. At the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits competition, it scored a 98 out of 100 and received a Gold Medal. It was also recognized as a Gold Outstanding Spirit at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Competition, making it one of the highest-rated American rye whiskies.

The launch of Bulleit Rye 10-Year-Old comes as the rye category continues to grow. Between 2009 and 2019, the whiskey style grew by 1,275%. Since launch in 2011, the Diageo-owned brand has been at the forefront of the spicy whiskey movement.

Bottled at 45.6% ABV, the Bulleit Rye 10-Year-Old is now available nationwide at a retail price of $50. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.

In February, Bulleit unveiled its first-ever American Single Malt whisky, which finds the brand combining a mash bill most commonly used for Scotch with a yet undefined American whiskey category
