Whiskey made from your opponents’ tears may be the dream every football fan has been waiting for, and Fireball may make it happens with Crierball
Get ready for those football season tears to actually come of use as Fireball is set to gather up those salty splashes and puddle them into a new whiskey, Crierball. The forthcoming release will be the latest addition to the cinnamon-flavored spirits maker’s portfolio, and is set to launch in 2025.
To create the whiskey, brand personnel sporting red Fireball Tear Collector uniforms will post up near football stadiums throughout November, ready to collect tears from fans of losers. The excitement started this last weekend in Athens, Georgia, when the number two ranked Bulldogs took on the floundering Florida Gators in what started out as a nailbiter, but ended like much of the rest of the Gainesville-situated university’s season, in disappointment.
Fireball Tear Collectors can be expected to also be found at:
- 10 November: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, TX
- 17 November: Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears in Chicago, IL
- 17 November: Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh, PA
- 30 November: Auburn Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, AL
- 30 November: Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus, OH
“In football, few things – aside from Fireball, of course – are better than the sweet taste of victory, especially when that W comes at the expense of your biggest rivals,” notes Danny Suich, global brand director for Fireball. “Our brand is all about embracing that competitive spirit, but amping it up with a little more spice. We’re on a mission to capture the soul of rivalries – AKA the tears of losers – at this season’s biggest games. The expected result? A one-of-a-kind whisky bottling that is sure to become the ultimate showpiece allowing for supreme bragging rights next season.”
According to the brand, in order to ensure Crierball meets health safety regulations, the tears “will undergo a meticulous, months-long process of sterilization and distillation”.
Those looking forward to enjoying the salty-cinnamon creation should be able to enjoy it next season. “Our plan is to have this salty-cinnamon innovation ready for the next football season so the victorious can hold last season’s triumph over their rivals’ heads for just a little bit longer,” says Suich.
