Name the cocktail.
The Walking Dead
What inspired the name? What’s this drink’s origin story?
The name is a play on a classic tiki drink called a Zombie. Before Gin Rummy, this used to be a Mexican restaurant specializing in mezcal and other agave spirits. We inherited a lot of those agave spirits so I wanted to create a tiki inspired cocktail using what we had in house. We took a classic Zombie recipe and pulled out the rum and replaced it with 3 different agave spirits.
