Jose Cuervo is offering one lucky fan the opportunity to win a one-of-a-kind pinata bar stuffed with Tequila. The iconic agave spirits brand launched the giveaway on its Instagram and encourages the winner to “Enjoy then destroy.”
“Introducing the world’s first piñata bar! Serve up the finest Jose Cuervo cocktails, then take out your 2020 frustration in a flurry of colourful destruction,” wrote the company on their Instagram.
The competition went live on December 4th. All entrants must be over the age of 18 and based in the United Kingdom. In order to enter, you need to follow Jose Cuervo on Instagram, then tag a friend or family member you plan to enjoy a festive cocktail, and finally sit back hope your number is drawn.
The brand provides a set of instructions for “safe” destruction of the Jose Cuervo pinata bar. Upon demolition, the bar will reveal a variety of Tequilas and a host of flavored fillings. With the tasty finding, the brand recommends you mix up a classic Margarita by mixing 50ml Jose Cuervo Especial, 20ml lime juice, 20ml orange liqueur and a pinch of salt around the rim.
Jose Cuervo has been all about acknowledging the challenges of 2020 with their holiday campaigns. In November, they recognized we won’t all be able to make it home for the Holidays, but offered lucky winners the opportunity to have life-sized cardboard cutouts known as Doppledrinkers sent to your home to stand in for you.
“So many Americans are asking themselves if they should travel home for the holidays…and if the answer is no, that doesn’t mean traditions can’t live on,” said a Cuervo representative. “For those opting not to celebrate in-person, Jose Cuervo is celebrating the holidays by giving fans the opportunity to send a life-sized cardboard ‘Doppeldrinker’ of themselves to friends and family—ensuring everyone’s seat at the table is still filled this holiday season.”
In August, Jose Cuervo officially added two new offerings to their ready-to-drink portfolio with the release of Playamar Tequila Hard Seltzers. The new canned offerings come in two flavors: lime and grapefruit.
