A relaxed Brad Pitt is at the center of the new Miraval Rose “Spirit Of The Riviera” ad campaign for the new 2020 vintage. In the images, the Fight Club star was captured by fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey.
The Provence chateau and winery turned to Australian photographer Lachlan Bailey due to his highly cinematographic photos that manage to be sophisticated and intimate, and always subtle. For the campaign, Bailey captured the unique feel of the Riviera with Brad Pitt in a chilled out mood beside a swimming pool in Los Angeles. The ad looks to communicate that, just like summer, Miraval is all about relaxing and unwinding. This is the real “Spirit of the Riviera”, an invitation to give in to the temptation of the sun’s rays wherever you find yourself in the world – whether it be Capri, Mykonos, Rio de Janeiro, the Hamptons, or Saint Tropez.
Bursting with the Provence sun, the new 2020 Miraval vintage is also very tempting with its elegant, pale pink color, reminiscent of rose petals. On the nose, the Wine is elegant, with aromas of fresh fruit, redcurrants, and fresh roses, lifted by lemon zest. The refinement continues in the mouth with a vivacity that subtly balances the mineral and saline notes. It finishes with persistent lemony notes.
Miraval Rose 2020 is designed to reflectthe magnificent Château in Provence and its legendary recording studio. Each of its creations, “forged out of a passion of working the vine, asserts itself as an unexpected masterpiece,” explains the winery.
Later this year, Miraval is expected to release a Champagne. “We are working very hard on that right now with Rodolphe Péters, from Pierre Péters,” winemaker Marc Perrin told Wine Spectator. “We will create the only Champagne house which only makes rosé,” said Perrin. “We are going to try to push the quality of rosé as far as possible in Champagne.” We’re feeling confident Miraval’s new marriage of talents can make it work.
