A New Music-Focused Cocktail Bar Is Coming To Shoreditch, Chiave

Chiave opens March 12 and will feature high-end cocktails alongside local and international DJs.

A new music-focused cocktail bar is coming to London’s Shoreditch, Chiave. Meaning ‘key’ in Italian, the space looks to bridge the gap between drinks and sound, giving the already bustling neighborhood another option for late night fun.

A cocktail bar split across two floors, Chiave focuses on signature cocktails prepared by top mixologists enjoyed alongside carefully curated music by renowned DJs, amplified by an exceptional custom sound system (Arda Audio speakers from Cophenagen).

The basement features a  DJ booth, an intimate dance floor that can hold around 30 people, and seats around the edges of the room. Both international and local DJs will spin everything from house and minimal techno to electro funk and hip hop, and will alternate from secret ticketed gigs to an open house for everyone to enjoy. The ground floor will feature tables and countertops where guests can order snacks, cocktails, and wine.

Cocktails include: Doomsday, Tanqueray no:10 with cucumber, bergamot, parsley and melon; To & Fro with Black label, nori petit-beurre and ginger; and Street Spirit with the traditional spirit from Turkey, Raki, salted caramel ginger beer and lime.

Bites include perfect drink accompaniments of: freshly made dips and crackers, a selection of cheese and meat, tinned fish with sourdough and smoked salmon with creme fraiche, blinis and caviar.

The bar is the first venture from Turkish couple, Selin Duren and Cem Ozden–both veterans of Europe’s extensive music and nightlife industry. They are regulars on the London music scene and conceptualised the entire venue themselves.

Chiave is located at 36 Redchurch Street, E2 7DP, London, United Kingdom.

It is open Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday from 5pm to 12am; and Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 5pm to 2am.
