A Pina Colada Made With Bourbon And Shochu From Paris, Pulpy

The toasty and textured Pulpy from CopperBay in Paris might remind you of a pina colada and goes best with fresh cheese and fruit

If your cocktail desires point towards beachy summer fun, but you find yourself in bustling Paris, CopperBay shakes up the pina colada-esque Pulpy cocktail, which will make you feel like you’re sitting seaside. Bourbon and Shochu combine with mustard and pineapple to make a textured original that’s actually perfect in any weather.

Co-owner Aurélie Panhelleux tells us…

Name the cocktail.

“PULPY”

What inspired the name? What’s this drink’s origin story?

Our “Texture” menu highlights all the different mouth feels you can have in cocktails.

Every single cocktail is related to a “Texture,” like fizzy, silky, oily… and on the menu you can touch a little square made of a material related to what you are going to get as a drink.

What other drinks belong in its family?

Pulpy can be related to the pina colada family by its ingredients selection and also its texture.

If you like pina coladas and toasted flavour you should try this drink.

What food is this cocktail best served with?

It actually works very well with our burrata 😉 Sweet fruits and fresh cheese pair pretty well.
