Family-owned ABK6 Cognac has debuted the fourth annual edition of its Artist Collection, showcasing local artists
ABK6 Cognac has unveiled Artist Collection N°4. The family-owned brand introduced the artist collection back in 2019 as a way to showcase local artists and celebrate the connection between art and Cognac.
Made from a combination of Ugni Blanc grapes from the Fins Bois and Petit Champagne crus, the fourth edition’s eaux-de-vie aged for six to eight months in new oak barrels and then transferred to old barrels for further aging.
ABK6 Artist Collection N°4 features artwork by visual artist, illustrator, and comic book author Audrey Sedano. On the label, Sedano reinterprets the Vaisseau Moebius building, an emblem of both Angoulême city and the world of comics. The typography, meanwhile, incorporates the traditional calligraphy used on oak barrels in Cognac warehouses.
A deep amber in color, the Cognac offers aromas of fresh seasonal and candied fruits, alongside notes of vanilla and spice. The palate is supple and generous with vanilla and wood persisting through its balanced structure.
The Artist Collection N°4 comes housed in a unique carafe topped with a beechwood stopper. The hand-written labels underscore the exclusivity and artistic craftsmanship of this edition.
Bottled at 40% ABV, just 5,000 individually numbered bottles will be made available at a retail price of €78 ($83 USD) on the official online store and at selected retail markets.
