Add on that it’s just off Gran Via, in the center of Madrid, and it easy to see why the space has been dazzling spectators since opening its doors. The two brothers behind the space have made it into one of Spain’s must-grab reservations and it’s easy to see why.

Please describe Angelita as if you’re explaining the experience of walking through the doors and ordering your first drink.
We are a bar owned by two brothers on two floors, a street level wine bar with more than 100 references by the glass and a garden-to-table model (our parents are in charge of the garden) and in the basement we have a cocktail bar with garden-to-glass format: 100% made with local and homemade products and seasonal cocktails where the focus is on the garden and not so much on the distillate.
How would you describe Angelita in a three-word text to a friend that you’re trying to convince to join you?
Angelita is a family bar: garden, wine and cocktail.
Other than Angelita, what else is happening in the neighborhood that you’re in?
We are in the most electric area of Madrid: bars, hotels, restaurants and the most important leisure and cultural offer in Madrid is less than a 30 minute walk away!
Aside from Happy Hour, when is the best time to get to the bar?
Cocktails and spirits apart, we have the same cuisine as the wine menú, if you come to Angelita at 20:00s.
Describe the average drinkers that you serve?
We are a destination bar for our public. people aged 30-50, 50/50 from city/visitors and looking to live our experience.
Please tell us more about your drinks menu.
Our cocktails are a base spirit plus 100% homemade ingredients made with local produce. We work measuring everything by weight and the dilution of our cocktail is precise and flavoured. We save energy and water: we use 0% of ice.
What’s your signature drink–or your favorite drink currently on the menu–and why should I order it?
There are several options depending on your tastes. In addition to La tomatera, you can start by ordering “el olivo” (a mix of a dirty martini in a firmato gimlet) or La vid (a wine cocktail that sleeps in volcanic rock).

You have to try any of the seasonal products from our garden such as the “ox heart” tomato and finish with a personalized cheese board from our assortment of more than 50 cheeses.
What are the distinguishing features of Angelita?
We are a very identity-oriented family project.
In our bar we work recipes by weight, we do not use ice, there are no typical tools such as cocktail shakers or mixing glasses. There are no bottles on our counter and all the homemade ingredients are made in front of you in a special bar designed for it. Each cocktail is single-ingredient and the menu varies with the seasons.
